Content brief introduction:
During his inspection tour of the south, Emperor Qian Long has a one-night love with a lady, who then gives birth to a girl called Xia Ziwei. Later this lady dies and her only daughter has no choice but goes to the capital to look for her father, the Emperor. After a hard long journey, she and her servant maid arrive in the capital, only to find that they have no way to enter the palace. During their stay there, they meet Xiao Yanzi (small sparrow), a girl thief of their own age. This thief is very kind-hearted and always ready to help. They soon make friends with each other. After suffering many setbacks and miseries, Xian Yanzi and Ziwei are recognized as the emperor's princesses. Later Xiao Yanzi (honored as Princess Huan Zhu) eloquently persuades the emperor into agreeing with the engagement chosen by themselves.
